Pancham Crochet Plush Pattern

Super excited for the new games! And this guy is such a little cutie! He turned out to be a pretty simple pattern and would be good for less experienced crocheters. Pattern and more pics after the jump

Can we talk about how great making plushies yourself is? You can literally make something for a fraction of the cost of buying it, or you can make something they don't even sell! If you've got the drive you can have a plush of whatever you want! I dunno,  I just think that's pretty freaking cool. Go us, we rock.

Anyway, on to the pattern! If you have any  questions or need more reference pics, let me know! Plush is about 10 inches tall, not including the hair fluff, with that he's closer to a foot tall.

The following pattern was written and designed by me and is copyrighted. You may not sell or reproduce this pattern in any way. Do not claim this pattern or plush as your own design. You may not sell this pattern. You may not sell what you make from this pattern. Please respect this, I spent a very long time designing this plush and pattern, there is a great deal of effort and love put into this. Thank you very much for your understanding.
Read pattern carefully before starting, particularly the instructions at the beginning of the pattern. There are also many tips throughout the pattern that will help you when making different pieces, be sure to read those too! Pictures at the end of the pattern will help with sewing stuff on.

Materials:

* Dark Gray yarn

*Black yarn
*White yarn
*Small amount green yarn
*Large yarn needle for sewing pieces together

*Fiberfill/stuffing

**Optional: beans, rice, or plastic beads & pantyhose (for weight, more info after body pattern)

*G hook and F hook

*Straight pins for pining pieces on before sewing them on

Note: there is no gauge for this pattern. The only thing that is important is that you have a tight stitch when crocheting so that no stuffing will show through the finished pieces. If you use the recommended hooks it should be fine but if you are someone who crochets more loosely you may want to reduce the hook size accordingly.

This pattern is worked in rounds (unless otherwise noted) and uses the following techniques/abbreviations:
Sc- single crochet
inc- increase
dec- decrease, particularly you should use the invisible decrease if you know how to do it
sc in each sc- single crochet in each single crochet, don't add any increases or decreases
R- round or row
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
Repeat (*)- repeat what is between the asterisks * until you come to the end of the round, unless otherwise indicated
ring- magic ring. If you cannot do this technique then you may substitute this: ch 2 and sc however many were supposed to go in the ring into the second ch. However this will leave a small hole in the piece, this is why the magic ring is preferred, it leaves no visible hole. Many tutorials on how to do the magic ring are available online.

The numbers in parenthesis at the end of each row are the number of stitches you should have when that row is done. Mark the start of each round with a marker and move this marker as you complete rows.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
All pieces (unless otherwise indicated) are worked with TWO strands of yarn together. You may do this by taking the strand on the outside of the skien and the one which comes from the inside of the skien together. Crochet with two strands the same way you would crochet if you had only one. This will yield a bigger plush faster and with less effort than crocheting with only one strand. This pattern has not been tested for only one strand and pieces such as the eyes would need to be adjusted for size on your own.

All pieces are made with G hook and TWO STRANDS of yarn unless otherwise indicated.

Finish off and Stuff. If you want to add weight to the plush, purchase plastic pellets for doll making, rice, beans ect and fill a nylon stocking with the desired amount, tie it off and put it in first when stuffing. This is pretty helpful for this plush since the head is so big, it'll help it sit up more easily.

    1. I'm glad you like it! If you mean selling a finished plush, I most likely won't be selling it since it really takes quite a long time to make, the price would be pretty crazy. And also I don't have too much free time so instead I take the time to post the pattern and use my free time to make new stuff. Sorry for any inconvenience but perhaps you might try your hand at crocheting? You really only have to be familiar with a few stitches to make this, almost all of it is made of only one type of stitch! Thanks for your question, hope you have a great day!

    1. Thanks! I was just thinking about doing a fletchling too, it's too cute right? Plus it's design is pretty simple. For the tail I was thinking either you could make it w/2 strands of yarn held together (this would make it stiffer so it could stand up), use floral wire (put it around the outside and then crochet over it), or even the way you sew it on could help it stand up. Like sew it on more at an angle and anchor it when sewing so that it stands up (hope that makes sense), good luck!

    1. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with that character? Also I'm sorry but I don't take requests as I don't have much time for crocheting. You may be able to find someone on etsy to commission one from though! Or you could try your hand at making your own patterns too, it's really pretty simple! I have a few posts on my blog about pattern making, good luck! ^_^
